So ..... here we go!

I am writing this blog as an experiment. I have been avoiding writing a blog for so long, because... seriously... who would be bothered reading it? So, the only way I can get my reluctant arse to sit in front of the keyboard is to treat it as an experiment.

Surprisingly, this is not my first blog. In 2006, when I was training as a secondary school teacher, one of my supervising teachers prompted me to start one as a way to reflect on my teaching. To be quite honest, I was mystified by the whole idea as I didn't even know what a blog was! In hindsight, it was a very effective teaching tool, and as I am now a follower of several blogs, I have a much better understanding of their value as informational and educational tools.

My plan is to use this space to write about art and my studio practice and to connect with like-minded people (if they can be bothered reading it). I hope to post something each month, but as I can be a bit erratic, my posts may reflect this. I welcome discussion and genuine, polite, constructive feedback.
